I am back with another blog. No pictures in this one. I got a few things to talk about here.
One, I met with Freddie Williams on Thursday. If you don’t know who he is, I’ll tell ya. Freddie is a 3 time Olympic running, he was the team Captain for Canada in the 1988 Olympics, he held the Canadian 800 meter record for 10 years, a smart business man, and a really nice guy. I was introduced to him through a mutual friend in Master Chip Townsend, 14 time ISKA World Champion. Anyway Freddie and I had a business meeting and discussed the opportunity I am bringing to our school. If you want to know more, let me know. I can set up a phone call with Freddie for you or set up an appointment for you to meet him on August 18th when he comes to visit us.
Another thing I want to mention is we are starting the Kettlebell class this morning. Hoping to have a few students in this morning. I also have lots of kettlebells for sale. I have 15lbs, 20lbs, 25lbs, 30lbs, and 35lbs for sale. My master in Toronto also wants to buy a bunch through me and wants me to go to her dojang to do a seminar. That will be exciting. I love to train and teach kettlebells. I personally believe they are one of the single best pieces of exercise equipment you can ever use and buy.
Also I want my students to keep September 10th on their calendar. I have a special guest coming up from the US to come train with us. I will let everyone know who it is closer to the date because I want it to be a surprise. It will be well worth the wait. I promise you that. I will be training one on one with the special guest to. I am very excited about that.
I think that is it for now. There is definitely big things happening here at Cobourg Tae Kwon Do in the nest little while. Oh and we won the 2009 People’s Choice Award for Best Martial Arts School in Northumberland County for the 7th year in a row. Thanks to all my great students. You guys are the best.
