Limitations

Hello Everyone

Today;s blog is inspired by what Master Chip Townsend told me last week while we were training together. He gave me the following example. He asked me what it was that most people believe about mentally challenged people. I told him that most people believed they were stronger than the average person. He then told me that his one sister worked with mentally handicapped people and would tell him that some would pick up couches and throw them across the room. Master Chip said as a boy he would sit and think why would God if someone else that much more strength and power over someone else.

He came to the conclusion that God didn’t give them extra power. He figured out that mentally handicapped people were able to do such things that required so much power because they didn’t think about it. They see something and they think they want to pick it up and they just do it. They have no thought about how large, how heavy, or anything like that. They do not put limitations upon themselves.

We, the average person spends a great deal of our time putting limitations on ourselves. We says things like we can’t do that, it’s too hard, that’s impossible, I’m not smart enough, I don’t have the education, and so on and so forth. Well to the most part, that is ridiculous. Within reason, we can achieve some much more than we realize. We need to start thinking about how we can achieve what we want to achieve and forget about the challenges that stand before us. We need to conquer the challenges.

I know personally that one of the biggest fears a lot of people have is the fear of failure. We can’t sit still and be frozen by fear of failure. We all have failed in some point in our lives. Think back to when it happened to you. Did your failure truly hurt you so bad that you never got over it. I am pretty sure it didn’t  You moved on. You are fine. And for though that didn’t get over it. That’s okay. You learned something and it will make you stronger in the long run if you chose so.

Limitations only arise because of the way we think. If you look at some of the most famous people in history, you will see they all had limitations. They chose to ignore them and achieve what they wanted. A few examples are; Beethoven who was deaf and was able to create such beautiful music, the wright brothers who invented the airplane, and MOHANDAS GANDHI who was small and frail and was able to produce enormous political power for good.

So if you are not succeeding at which you chose to do, you might want to stop blaming your limitations and rise above it. Simply don’t let these so called limitations stop or slow you down. Make a plan to action, seek help, and whatever else you need to do to get to where you want to be. So from now on, think no limitations. Just think challenges that you will conquer some day.
