Hello Everyone
Well I got a few things to discuss today. First off is the word of the week. That word is “TIME”. Now there is plenty we can say about time. What we were discussing is how we do not have the right to waste other people’s time. Too many people think they can just waste others time. Students at school waste others students time, they waste the teacher’s time by not listening. Co-workes waste each others time when they need to get their work done by a certain time. Now some people do this on purpose while others do not even know they are doing it. Time is very precious. It is one of the few things that we have a lot of and not a lot of all at the same time. If we were talking right now in person and I said to you “How much time do we have left?” Most would answer in a numerical value. i.e. we have 10 minutes left or whatever. The real answer should be “Not a lot”. What I mean by this is we do not know how much time we have left so we need to treat it as if we do not have the time. We need to cherish everything. We need to be in the now. Not in the future. Not in the past. Simply in the now. And guess what, we you read this the now is the fast and we are now in the future or the new now. Get my point? Simply use your time and others’ time wisely.
Another thing I wanted to mention was I just found out that we won the 2010 Reader’s Choice Award for Best Martial Arts in Northumberland County. It will be announced officially next Friday in the Northumberland News. We have won all the awards from 2003 until now except for one. We have also won all the People’s Choice Awards from 2003 through to and including 2010. The reason we keep winning is we have awesome Instructors, Black Belts, students, parents, and supporters. We win because we are a family and team. We look out for each other and work good together.
Also we have Buddy day this Wednesday and have quite a few buddies out for the taekwondo and kickboxing classes. You can see the picture on our facebook account or my personal facebook account @ Jonathan Field. Thanks to all the buddies that came our and had some fun with us. Thanks to Terry for taking the pictures for us.
Oh and just a reminder to post your random acts of courtesy and kindness to the courtesy challenge on this blog. We are currently sitting at 415 random acts of courtesy and kindness posted so far. I would greatly appreciate if you would take part. Thanks.
Well that is it for today.
Master Jonathan Field
Congratulations Jonathan!
You are definitely the choice for us as well- why else would we race 40 minutes each way to get to classes.
Well deserved- well earned!
