The Purpose of Training……


The purpose of training is to tighten up the slack, toughen the body, and polish the spirit.

Ancient wisdom for a modern world. Well worded advice that we can all live by in our day to day training.

Whether it be in martial arts or whatever it is that we are training for, these words hold true.

I believe the hardship that is suppose to come with training truly does polish our spirit. It makes us tougher when we need to be tough and makes us gentle and soft when the time for gentle and soft comes. It allows us to enjoy the beauty of life and feel sorrow when the ugly happens.

Training enhances all aspects of our being.
