It isn’t the mountains ahead to climb that wear you down. It’s the pebble in your shoe.
What this is saying is that it’s not the big challenges that will overcome you but the little road blocks along the way that could slow you down or prevent you from achieving your big goals.
It’s the little unforeseen obstacles that cause you the most grief. Best is to plan ahead and predict what could happen so you are well prepared.
Being well prepared and organized is the key.
Also never allow the little challenges to get the better of you. Keep your eyes on the big picture and keep pushing forward.
If all else fails, take your shoe off and get rid of that darn pebble.
