Over the past week or so I have been tracking my sleep with an app on my ipod called Sleep Time. There is various other similar apps but this one was free to try so I thought I would give it a try. What the app does is it keeps track of your sleep cycles / habits throughout the night. It also can predict when a good time for you to wake up based on your sleep cycle. If you set your alarm for 6am, it will figure out the best time to wak you up between 5:30am and 6am. Pretty cool eh?! Waking up when it’s the best for you. Anyway the app gives you a read out every morning of when you awake, when you are in light sleep, and when you were in deep sleep. It keeps track of every minute pretty much. It also tells you how efficient your sleep was.
So I now track my sleep and look for ways to improve upon my sleep cycles. Doing so allows you to get a better nights sleep and this in return is healthier for you and puts you in a better mood. I have noticed more energy and clarity so far but making a few small adjustments to my sleep habits. I suggest everyone give it a try. The only risk is you’ll get a better nights rest 🙂
