This week’s Adult Message of the Week is Respect & Courtesy.
There is two main types of Respect. One is respect for yourself. This means to take care of your mind, body, and spirit. Be careful what you allow to get into your head and talk positively and encouraging to yourself. Treat your body right. You know how. Eat right, exercise, don’t put things into your body that can cause health problems.
Number two way of respect is showing respect and courtesy towards others. This shows you are emotionally mature to deal with anything that comes your way. Why not show everyone a little respect and courtesy? Doing so creates great bonds and friendships, strengthens relationships of both romantic and non romantic kinds, creates a more peaceful and constructive environment for all those around. Being Respectful and Courteous is the way of a mature Black Belt.
Being respectful is a habit like anything else. You need to consistently practice it all the time. It takes 21 days for a new habit to be established. So over the nest 21 days be mindful of all the ways you can show courtesy and respect and do so. Then go beyond the 21 days and continue on for all your days. You will be amazed at how your life and the life of others around you will be more pleasant.
