Well the final count is in for our 4th Annual Christmas Stocking Drive. The number of stockings that were donated were…
148! Which is awesome! Definitely beat last year’s number of 94 I believe.
Thanks to all the instructors, students, and everyone else who donated. And thanks to Master Joyce for looking after the drive this year which normally I do each year. Also thanks to seven of our black belt candidates that made the stocking drive their community project for black belt grading 2016. So thanks to Shawn, Lily, Abbey, Tristan, Bryce, Ocean, and Tye.
I am looking forward to making next year a bigger success.

2. Our fourth annual Christmas Stocking Drive went very well. Our goal was to raise 100 stockings. We ended up raising 142 stockings. And there maybe a few more coming in today before the Salvation Army comes to pick them up tonight at 6pm. Awesome job everyone!
Just a reminder that you only have until Saturday December 12th to hand in your stockings for our 4th annual christmas stocking drive. Our goal this year is to raise 100 stockings for the children in need in our area. So we really need your help in accomplishing this goal. Please drop them off to the dpjang here at 271 Spring Street Cobourg.
Just wanted to reminder everyone about our 4th Annual Christmas Stocking Drive here at Cobourg Tae Kwon Do.
This year a bunch of our Black Belt candidates are doing this event as part of their requirements for black belt. They are asking that you bring in a stocking or two full of treats, toys, school supplies, tooth brushes, etc,. The stocking s will be donated to children in need.
Our goal this year is to collect 100 stockings. You can drop off your stockings to Cobourg Tae Kwon Do 271 Spring Street Cobourg ON K9A 3K3 by December 12th.
I wanted to bring attention to you these two fundraisers that two of our students are doing. Both these two work every hard in class to set a good example for others to follow and are always giving back to our local community. So show some Cobourg Tae Kwon Do love to them by supporting them in their fundraisers.

Just wanted to wish everyone a great first day back to school. And a first day for everyone who has not yet been to school. I hope you learn lots and have fun doing so. Just remember that it may seem like you have a lot to do this year and you may wonder how you are going to get it all done? Don’t worry about it. Just focus on each day and everything will look after itself.
Also just a reminder that we are starting our Hyper Bully Defense program tomorrow during the 5:30pm class. This program will run for 12 weeks on Wednesdays and is open to all our junior students and their friends free of charge. Students will learn how to deal with bullies, how to help others with bullying, the stages of bullying, different types of bullying, and so forth. So hope to see all the junior students during these classes and bring your friends and share the knowledge.
