When training in Taekwondo and Martial Arts you earn various colures belts and various degrees of black belt.
Each one of these colours or degrees is a step.
A step in which you learn new skills in the martial arts.
But also with each step taken, you learn and gain experiences which will serve you not only as a martial artist but as a person on this earth.
You learn to overcome barriers and limitations which at one point you thought you would not overcome.
You learn how to trust your instincts to help with your judgment.
You learn to let go and trust in the natural process in which training naturally provides.
You gain self confidence and self respect through lots of practice.
You learn to focus more clearly on what is most important and with clarity.
But none of this happens if you don’t allow it to. It won’t happen if you fight the process. It never happens if you are too busy talking when you should be listening, doing, and experiencing.
Good things will happen because of your dedication to training but you have allow it to happen and not think too much. Nor fight it.
Your martial rte training is a metaphor for your life. Your training experiences should reflect your life to some extent.
I often see this a lot. I can see how people’s lives are like based on their training.
I get to witness a lot of the time the training improving the lives of the trainees.
And sometimes I get to see how their lives impact their training.
Most of it is good and a little bit I have see that is not so good.
Approach your training as single positive steps one after the other and you will see the difference it makes.
