HOW FAR YOU HAVE COME…

This is the third journey to black belt poster/t-shirt handed in for the 2013 black belt grading coming up in June.

What I like about this t-shirt and with the journey to black belt themes in general is that it allows each candidate to reflect upon where they had started and how far the have come.

It shows them what they have achieved. It gives them a road map per say of where they have traveled.

I think we all can take this exercise to heart and reflect upon our lives and envision where we started and how far we have come. Look back on all the obstacles and challenges we have over come. Take pride in all the accomplishments we have achieved. Look back and smile at all the fun and interesting experiences we have been apart of.

Whenever you feel down and out take a few minutes and look at how far you have gone. Look forward to where you are going to go. Enjoy the now. Enjoy the past. Enjoy the future. Life is a great journey full of ups and downs, and wonders beyond what we can conceive right now. Be grateful that you are living the life you have. And don’t worry about the final destination because we all end up at the same. Focus on your journey and making it great.

THE NUMBER ONE REASON WHY PEOPLE GIVE UP……

547713_10151424168227863_290116580_n

The number one reason why people give up so fast is because they tend to look at how far they still have to go instead of how far they have gotten.

Remember that you have spent your whole life up to this point to get where you are now. Look back at all the things you have achieved. Look at all the challenges you have faced and conquered. Would you want to do them all over again?

The truth is you have come so far already. Don’t look at how far you have to go. Look at your goals as a journey of self discovery. Break them down into mini steps instead of one giant leap.

Another truth is time will pass on its’ own. You will continue to move forward towards your goals without really knowing it unless you completely give up all together.

Don’t worry about how far you have to go, you are meant to travel.
