INVEST IN YOURSELF

Invest in yourself.

There are so many things in life we cannot control, so make sure you take care of what you have been freely given.

Your body, your health, and each other.

Invest wisely.

This is so very truly. Too many of us fail to realize this. We tend to overlook all the great things we have already been given. We take these things for granted. It’s a shame really. Too much focus is on what we don’t have. Or what others have.

The focus should be on what we have already and how we can nurture it. How can we grow and harvest the seeds that we have already planted?

We only have one body. We need to take care of it through healthy eating, exercise, and taking care of any illnesses that pop up. We need to avoid anything that we know can damage our bodies in a way that is simply a waste of our energy.

We need to acknowledge the gifts that we have been given and cherish them. We need to further along our gifts and not to waste them. Anything that we feel we are lacking we need to acquire these new gifts through hard work, focus, dedication, and passion.

We also need to learn to really cherish the people in our lives that makes life worth living. Appreciate them, love them, and let them know how you feel. Take care of each other. Make the world a better place to be for each other.

It’s up to each one of us as individuals and as a community to do so.

WHEN YOU NEED SOMETHING TO BELIEVE IN, START WITH YOURSELF (Self Defense??)

20500_419130044825498_1440576164_n

When you need something to believe in, start with yourself first.

Yes you read that correctly.

You are the one that got you to where you are today.

It was your inner strength that helped you all these years with all the challenges and obstacles that were thrown at you.

It was your determination not to quit every time something got bad or seems too hard.

It was you that taught yourself how to walk and talk when you were just a little baby.

It was your intelligence that got you this far in your life.

It was your self confidence that allowed you to achieve things that others thought you couldn’t.

It is you that is an amazing person.

It was your integrity that allowed you to stand up against the things that were wrong.

It was your acts of courtesy that made others feel good.

It was your self control that kept you calm and collected when it could have been easy to completely loose yourself in the moment.

It was all you. You are the only thing that you need to truly believe in. Others can help you along the way and support you be it’s but to you ultimately. You can beleive in other people but it’s up to them to believe in themselves too.

Help yourself believe in you and help others believe in themselves.

Hmm I think this could also be self defense for your confidence. Believing in yourself early on will help prevent a low self esteem. Keep practicing every day good habits and things that will help yourself believe in you. The more positive things you do and say about yourself the better off you will be. Make sure the positive self talks out weigh or out number the negative things you say about yourself by at least 10 to 1. Avoid negative self talk as much as you can. You are better than that.

YOU ARE CONFINED??

images-4You are confined ONLY by the walls you build yourself.

Let me repeat that again. You are confined ONLY by the walls you build yourself.

There is so many people out there that believe they are trapped in situations and they cannot get out. And they truly believe it was not their fault. Well every situation you get yourself into to some degree is your fault. Yes there is some cases where it is not but most things that happen in our lives happen because of what we do.

If you are in a bad situations, you may have done something to get yourself there but no worries. You have the power to get yourself out of anything you get yourself into. You just have to think clearly and do something differently until you care no longer in that situation.

Okay now being confined is not just a negative thing here. Believing you are confined could mean that you are stuck in a rut or perhaps you want to create a better lifestyle for yourself but you don’t know how. Or maybe you have a great idea for a business but you don’t think you can do it. It all comes down to the fact of how you think. How do you think about yourself and your strengths and weaknesses? How’s your self confidence? How bad do you want something? Are you motivated and passionate?

See you are only confined by the walls of your imagination. If you truly no longer want to be confined you will find a way. Change your thinking, change your habits, learn new things. Do whatever it takes. It’s up to you to break down these imaginary walls that confine you. The only thing that is stopping you is you!!

LEVEL 10

Good Morning,

Today’s blog is all about LEVEL 10. Do you know what a Level 10 is? A Level 10 is about performing or doing something at the very best of your abilities both physically and mentally at the moments you are suppose to be at a Level 10. This means you are always striving to work at your very best and will not accept anything less. Performing at a Level 10 all the time will allow your Level 10 that is now to improve. In order to improve you need to push yourself at the Level 10 so that you can improve and not start to decline. Improvements can be made every minutes, every hour, every day, every week, every month, and etc,.It doesn’t matter when or how much you improve at what rate. Your goal is to keep improving your Level 10. Strive to make your Level 10 today a little better than what it was yesterday.

Okay let me put the Level 10 concept into Taekwondo/Martial Arts for a second. How can I be a Level 10 in Taekwondo? Well for starter I have to be 100% focused on my training when I am in class or training session. I focus on improving my skills, improving my concentration, and improving my focus. I only focus on what I am suppose to do in my class or training session. I do not let what is going on outside of the dojang to bother me. I don’t care what is going on in the waiting room or what other students are doing. I am focused. When I am performing the actual techniques we are working on I am focused on doing the best of my abilities so I can improve those skills. When I am kicking I make sure I chamber my knee up real high and kick as high as I can. I know if I practice low kicks I will never be able to kick high. I make sure I have proper chambers for my punches and blocks. I focus on snapping out all my techniques with speed and power. I will not merely put a technique in place. I know I must execute strong wide stances to have power. I must Kihop loudly to let out the power from my core. When I am sparring I am trying to improve the skills of my partner and myself. That means I have to challenge both of us otherwise I am not being a good partner and therefore wasting the time of my partner. I will never merely just walk through techniques. Laziness will only lower my self confidence while displaying excitement and performing at my best will give me more self confidence.

I just recently did some filming for one of my projects and I found that when I was doing my patterns slowly without any really excitement and effort that it was boring, and did not give me any satisfaction. I myself really do not understand how anyone can just walk through a pattern. It drove me nuts. I truly believe that how I train and perform in Taekwondo will carry itself over into other aspects of my life. If I am disciplined, focused, and work hard in Taekwondo that I will be the same when I have to do office work or while helping someone else. This is called taking your Martial Arts out of the dojo and putting it into the real life.

Okay let’s take our Level 10 and apply it to something else besides martial arts. How about being a Level 10 as a teacher? Are you preparing good lesson plans? Are you teaching lessons with enthusiasm and engaging the students into the lessons? Are you promoting the love for education and not merely having students remember facts? How passionate are you about teaching? Are you challenging your students to improve themselves?

Or how about the example of working in an office at some sort of job where you provide a service to customers. Are you providing the customer with the best service you can provide within your ability? Are you striving to improve the quality of the services you do? Are you taking the time to really know your customers? Are you managing your time wisely between all the sales, paper work, appointments, events, dinner functions, meetings, and what not? Are you using your day planners effectively? Are you continuously learning new things to improve all aspects of your job. Are you stuck in a routine or are you striving to improve and make your career more enjoyable? Are you better at your job today than what you were last week?

Okay so does everyone kind of see what a Level 10 is and how it applies to you? Level 10 applies to all areas of your life. Put in your best effort and you will see some improvement. Put the effort into learning how to improve and apply what you learn and you will see greater improvement. Doing so will only improve the quality of your life. If you disagree with me then prove me wrong.
