Good Morning

I found this quote earlier this morning as it is very true. But with time it becomes the exact opposite and then eventually it becomes normal.

Good Morning

I came across this quote earlier this morning by Miyamoto Musashi, the greatest samurai who ever lived. I believe it fits our everyday life pretty well if you want to fully experience the joys of life and the world we live in. It always amazes me how ancient wisdom relates so well with modern times. As if time itself doesn’t really exist in the way that we perceive it. For one can learn so much more about today from history than today itself.

Experience life to the fullest by cherishing what the world has to offer us. It’s beauty, ugliness, pleasure, pain, adventure, boredom, love, hate, and so forth. When one becomes more concerned with paying more attention to everything around us, you will open up to many things you didn’t notice before. Realizing that life and the world we are in is a gift that should not be taken lightly. Appreciate all that is.

A step backwards gives you the advantage

Now what do you think this means?

I think it means that when you step back from any given situation you can have a clearer view of what is really going on.

Taking a step back allows you the time you need to think and react in a more controlled manner.

Taking a step back allows you to see from many possible angles.

Stepping back gives you the time to make the best decisions possible with the information and time a lotted.

Taking a step back allows for adjustments in your plans.

Taking a step back is not a bad thing. It’s all about how you view things.

Knowing others is wisdom. Knowing yourself is enlightenment.

The ability to figure out others is easy compared to figuring out yourself.

The hardest person to master is ones’ self because it can be extremely difficult at times to be 100% honest with yourself.

As well as enjoying it and growing from it, life is about mastering yourself. It takes a lifetime and even than very few people achieve self mastery.

It takes complete dedication in this pursuit but a worthwhile one.

To find your way, you must close your eyes and walk in the dark.

Sometimes what you see is not really what is there.

Your eyes may mislead you there be open to listening to your other senses and feelings.

What you may not see with your eyes you may feel with your hands and feet.

What your eyes cannot see you may hear with your ears.

What your eyes don’t catch, your nose picks up the scent.

What your eyes cannot conceive, you may taste.

Complete darkness may tell more than total light can ever.

To forget oneself is to be enlightened.

To let go of your ego.

To forget all you have learned to allow new ideas and concepts to enter.

To forget your past and enter your future.

To let go of your habits so you may form new ones.

To let go of your fears so you can overcome.

To grow without limitation.

“Have a heart of a small child”

“Whenever I feel nothing matters, I look at sleeping children and recall my original purpose”

“When things are in total disarray, play with joyful children”

If we all would be more friendly, loving, and imaginative like small children, the world would be a far better place.

“The bird of paradise alights only on the hand that does not grasp.”

No one likes a person that is too controlling or too opinionated.

Rather be in control of yourself and have valid view points.

“How can the drop of water know themselves to be a river?”

As individuals the drops may not seem like much but as a whole river they appear powerful.

A single snow flake is so beautiful in design but a blizzard can cause so much chaos.

” When the day gets long and contentious, I hold fast to my breath as a tiller and take each wave as it comes. “

This refers to patience. Throughout each day we are all tested with lots of contentious situations. Best to stay calm as best we can and approach each situation with a clear mind. This takes practice. And some circumstances are harder to stay calm than others but it is worth a shot. Keep practicing.
