Last night I attended the 12th Annual Cobourg Civic Awards held at Victoria Hall in downtown Cobourg.
Each year the town of Cobourg presents Civic Awards to people in our local community that given back to our community in some form or shape and/or has excelled in what they do.
This year I was nominated for Distinguished Civic Award for Community Service in Athletic. To my surprise I won.
The award presentations were held at the concert hall in Victoria Hall. The evening was full of various groups, organizations, and individuals who were being honoured for giving so much to our local community and the citizens that live here.
Seating in the audience and listening to all the different things that people were doing in our community I was quite proud of all the hard work and accomplishments that the award winners do to make our little town the place to live.
